3″ flows 1176 CFM (705hp based on flow, inlet/oulet restrict flow to ~600hp, surface area = 450hp at ~50mph, speed required for this power rating due to flow through the scoop)
Comparable performance to Airtec, CorkSport and CPE etc but without the hefty price tag.
This top mounted, all aluminium replacement promises to be a vast improvement over the stock intercooler with several of its own upgrades designed to enhance efficiency. The core itself uses none of the stock endtanks or intercooler design. The intercooler is a thicker, larger and better flowing model than the stock unit. Retain that sleeper and stock look all while drastically enhancing vehicle performance and opening up potential with supporting mod.
We previously have had have this exact intercooler fitted to a 2007 Mazda 6 MPS, and currently have it fitted to a Gen 2 3 MPS. It should fit all vehicles listed in the title but please do your research first. Definite marked improvement with reduced boost temperatures across the board, verified with VersaTuner.
May require small modifications to fit with factory rubber mounts (bolt holes enlarged) or just solid mount it. Requires 4 x M6 bolts/washers for the shroud. Fits perfectly with factory bonnet and piping. You need to reuse your stock intercooler bolt on bottom pipe and gasket – the gasket should be fine to reuse, just make sure to clean it and reseat it correctly.
